Michigan High School Softball - Clio bounces Standish-Sterling
May 17, 2023: Standish, MI 48658 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Clio Mustangs (Clio, MI) and the host Standish-Sterling Panthers (Standish, MI), saw Clio's softball squad achieve victory over Standish-Sterling by a count of 15-6.
The Mustangs now sport a 21-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Linden for a Flint Metro match on Thursday, May 18. Clio will face a Eagles squad coming off a 18-3 non-league win over Howell (Howell, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 24-6.
With the loss, Standish-Sterling falls to 22-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Kingsley (Kingsley, MI) to face the Stags in a non-league match on Monday, May 22. The Stags enter the match with a record of 6-7. Kingsley won 2-1 in their recent non-league match against St. Mary (Lake Leelanau, MI)
