May 17, 2024: Clinchport, VA 24244 The Castlewood Blue Devils nudged the host Rye Cove Eagles baseball team by a tally of 9-8 in Friday's league bout.
The Blue Devils now hold a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chilhowie for a non-league bout on Friday, May 24. Castlewood will face a Warriors team coming off a 2-1 league win over Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 17-1.
Next, the Eagles face the Twin Springs Titans (Nickelsville, VA) in a Cumberland bout, on Tuesday, May 21. Rye Cove will attempt to advance on its 15-4 season record. The Titans enter the bout with a 6-11 record after their 17-0 league loss to Eastside (Coeburn, VA).
