May 17, 2025: Granby, CT 06035 The Granby Memorial Bears baseball team scored 18 runs and held the visiting Thomaston Bears to 7 in the Bears non-league win on Saturday.
The Bears now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they host Bolton for a North Central Connecticut test on Tuesday, May 20. Granby Memorial will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Hale Ray (Moodus, CT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-13.
With the defeat, Thomaston drops to 4-6 on the year. The Bears travel to Housatonic-Lakeview (Falls Village, CT) to clash with the Mountaineers in a non-league test on Monday, May 19. The Mountaineers go into the test with a record of 2-2. Housatonic-Lakeview lost 16-3 in their recent non-league test against Mount Everett Regional (Sheffield, MA)
