May 17, 2025: Mt. Zion, IL 62549 In Saturday's league bout, the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs (Mahomet, IL) baseball squad edged the host Mt. Zion Braves (Mt. Zion, IL), by a tally of 8-7.
Next up, the Bulldogs encounter the Normal Community Ironmen (Normal, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, May 19. Mahomet-Seymour will attempt to upgrade on its 18-6 season record. The Ironmen enter the bout with a 29-4 record after their 1-0 non-league win over East Peoria (East Peoria, IL).
The Braves (18-8) will now prepare for their bout against Normal West (Normal, IL). The Wildcats enter the non-league bout with a 19-12 record. In their last bout, Normal West was nudged by Glenwood (Chatham, IL), 11-8, in a non-league bout.
