The Oxford Pirates softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Leicester Wolverines to 1 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Pirates (7-8) will now prepare for their bout against Blackstone-Millville (Blackstone, MA). The Chargers go into the non-league bout with a 13-3 record. In their last bout, Blackstone-Millville notched a victory over Hopedale (Hopedale, MA), 12-2, in a league bout.

The Wolverines now possess a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Tyngsborough for a non-league bout on Thursday, May 19. Leicester will confront a Tigers squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Littleton (Littleton, MA). The Tigers record now stands at 10-5.
