New Jersey High School Baseball - Butler holds off Hawthorne
May 18, 2024: Butler, NJ 07419 Spectators at Saturday's league battle between the Butler Bulldogs (Butler, NJ) and the visiting Hawthorne Bears (Hawthorne, NJ), saw Butler's baseball squad knock off Hawthorne by a count of 4-0.
Coming up next, the Bulldogs play the Hawthorne Christian Defenders (Hawthorne, NJ) in a NJIC - Colonial battle, on Monday, May 20. Butler will attempt to move on its 8-12 season record. The Defenders enter the battle with a 6-8 record after their 14-0 league win over Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology (Paterson, NJ).
The Bears now possess a 11-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Glen Rock for a NJIC - Colonial battle on Monday, May 20. Hawthorne will play a Panthers squad coming off a 6-3 league win over Pompton Lakes (Pompton Lakes, NJ). The Panthers record now stands at 21-2.
