The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Hersey Huskies (Arlington Heights, IL) and the host Elk Grove Grenadiers (Elk Grove Village, IL), saw Hersey's baseball team gain a win over Elk Grove by a tally of 16-1.

The Huskies (9-21) will now prepare for their battle against Cary-Grove (Cary, IL). The Trojans enter the non-league battle with a 11-19 record. In their last battle, Cary-Grove prevailed over Jacobs (Algonquin, IL), 10-8, in a league battle.

Next, the Grenadiers face the McHenry Warriors (McHenry, IL) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, May 20. Elk Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 7-22 season record. The Warriors enter the battle with a 25-6 record after their 6-5 league loss to Crystal Lake Central (Crystal Lake, IL).
