The Ionia Bulldogs baseball team scored 2 runs and held the visiting Pewamo-Westphalia Pirates to 0 in the Bulldogs non-league win on Monday.

The Bulldogs now hold a 14-5 record. They take the field next when they host Wayland for a non-league test on Tuesday, May 27. Ionia will play a Wildcats team coming off a 3-1 league loss to West Catholic (Grand Rapids, MI). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-16.

With the defeat, Pewamo-Westphalia drops to 14-14 on the year. The Pirates travel to Lansing Christian (Lansing, MI) to play the Pilgrims in a Greater Lansing Athletic Conference test on Thursday, May 22. The Pilgrims go into the test with a record of 11-6.
