May 19, 2025: Crozet, VA 22932 Western Albemarle Warriors (Crozet, VA) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA), 9-6 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Western Albemarle upgrades its record to 12-2 on the year. The Warriors host Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA) to play the Patriots in a non-league game on Thursday, May 22. The Patriots enter the game with a record of 2-10. Albemarle lost 18-5 in their recent non-league game against Louisa County (Mineral, VA)
The Mustangs now own a 6-5 record. They play next when they host Orange County for a non-league game on Tuesday, May 20. Monticello will play a Fighting Hornets squad coming off a 13-12 non-league win over Madison County (Madison, VA). The Fighting Hornets record now stands at 5-7.
