Franklin Patriots (Livonia, MI) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Howell Highlanders (Howell, MI), 9-3 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Franklin improves its record to 39-8 on the year. The Patriots travel to Mercy (Farmington Hills, MI) to face the Marlins in a non-league game on Wednesday, May 20. The Marlins enter the game with a record of 8-13.

The Highlanders now hold a 16-11 record. They play next when they host Algonac for a non-league game on Friday, May 22. Howell will face a Muskrats squad coming off a 6-3 league loss to Almont (Almont, MI). The Muskrats record now stands at 12-11.
