In Monday's non-league challenge, the South Miami Cobras (Miami, FL) baseball squad edged the host American Patriots (Hialeah, FL), by a final score of 8-7.

With the win, South Miami upgrades its record to 9-13 on the season. The Cobras travel to Belen Jesuit (Miami, FL) to battle the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 3. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 17-7.
