The Halifax County Comets the host Amherst County Lancers baseball team by a count of 12-7 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Comets now possess a 11-3 record. They take the field next when they host Tunstall for a Piedmont bout on Friday, May 6. Halifax County will face a Trojans team coming off a 8-0 league win over Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 11-3.

Next, the Lancers face the Glass Hilltoppers (Lynchburg, VA) in a Seminole bout, on Tuesday, May 3. Amherst County will attempt to move on its 7-8 season record. The Hilltoppers enter the bout with a 7-7 record after their 7-4 non-league loss to Chatham (Chatham, VA).
