Georgia High School Softball - Augusta Christian nudges King Academy
May 2, 2022: Martinez, GA 30907 Augusta Christian Lions (Martinez, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting King Academy Knights (Batesburg, SC), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Lions now own a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cardinal Newman for a SCISA AAA Region I challenge on Tuesday, May 3. Augusta Christian will battle a Cardinals squad coming off a 8-4 league loss to Laurence Manning Academy (Manning, SC). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-9.
With the loss, King Academy falls to 1-3 on the campaign.
