Tennessee High School Softball - Macon County gets by DeKalb County
May 2, 2022: Lafayette, TN 37083 The Macon County Tigers (Lafayette, TN) softball nipped the visiting DeKalb County Tigers (Smithville, TN), 6-5 in Monday's league bout.
The Tigers (11-7) will now prepare for their bout against Smith County (Carthage, TN). The Owls go into the non-league bout with a 9-10 record. In their last bout, Smith County was edged by Upperman (Baxter, TN), 11-1, in a non-league bout.
The Tigers now possess a 20-13 record. They play next when they host Cookeville for a non-league bout on Tuesday, May 3. DeKalb County will confront a Cavaliers squad coming off a 7-4 league win over Mount Juliet (Mt. Juliet, TN). The Cavaliers record now stands at 6-10.
