May 2, 2022: Tappahannock, VA 22560 In Monday's non-league contest, the St. Margaret's Scottie (Tappahannock, VA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Northumberland Indians (Heathsville, VA), by a margin of 12-0.
With the triumph, St. Margaret's moves its record to 12-1 on the year. The Scottie host Saint Gertrude (Richmond, VA) to play the Gators in a League of Independent Schools contest on Wednesday, May 4. The Gators come into the contest with a record of 5-7. Saint Gertrude won 15-3 in their recent league contest against St. Catherine's (Richmond, VA)
In their next game, the Indians play the Colonial Beach Drifters (Colonial Beach, VA) in a Northern Neck contest, on Tuesday, May 3. Northumberland will attempt to move on its 4-7 season record. The Drifters come into the contest with a 5-2 record after their 7-3 non-league win over Northampton (Eastville, VA).
