Maryland High School Baseball - Brunswick defeats Catoctin
May 2, 2024: Thurmont, MD 21788 Brunswick Railroaders (Brunswick, MD) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD), 8-3 in a league test.
With the win, Brunswick upgrades its record to 16-2 on the season. The Railroaders travel to Williamsport (Williamsport, MD) to battle the Wildcats in a CMC test on Monday, May 6. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 3-16. Williamsport won 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Hedgesville (Hedgesville, WV)
With the defeat, Catoctin falls to 10-11 on the season. The Cougars travel to South Carroll (Sykesville, MD) to battle the Cavaliers in a non-league test on Friday, May 3. The Cavaliers come into the test with a record of 7-11. South Carroll lost 4-2 in their recent league test against Francis Scott Key (Union Bridge, MD)
