Virginia High School Baseball - Yorktown prevails Wakefield School
May 2, 2024: Arlington, VA 22207 In Thursday's non-league challenge, the Yorktown Patriots (Arlington, VA) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting Wakefield School Fighting Owls (The Plains, VA), by a final score of 14-5.
With the win, Yorktown upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Patriots host Langley (McLean, VA) to battle the Saxons in a Liberty challenge on Monday, May 6. The Saxons come into the challenge with a record of 11-6. Langley lost 8-2 in their recent league challenge against Herndon (Herndon, VA)
With the defeat, Wakefield School falls to 2-9 on the season.
