The Santa Fe Trail Chargers routed the visiting Anderson County Bulldogs softball squad by a count of 5-0 in Thursday's league battle.

The Chargers (16-4) will now prepare for their battle against Burlington (Burlington, KS). The Wildcats go into the Pioneer battle with a 13-3 record. In their last battle, Burlington was routed by Labette County (Altamont, KS), 4-0, in a non-league battle.

The Bulldogs now sport a 6-9 record. They play next when they host Frontenac for a non-league battle on Saturday, May 4. Anderson County will meet a Raiders squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Columbus (Columbus, KS). The Raiders record now stands at 14-1.
