Maryland High School Baseball - Mount St. Joseph sneaks past Archbishop Spalding
May 2, 2025: Baltimore, MD 21229 In Friday's non-league game, the host Mount St. Joseph Gaels baseball team scored a close 5-4 victory over the Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers.
The Gaels (14-6) will now prepare for their challenge against John Carroll (Bel Air, MD). The Patriots go into the MIAA A challenge with a 19-6 record. In their last challenge, John Carroll nipped Archbishop Curley (Baltimore, MD), 17-0, in a league challenge.
With the defeat, Archbishop Spalding drops to 21-9 on the year. The Cavaliers host Iona Prep (New Rochelle, NY) to clash with the Gaels in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 3. The Gaels go into the challenge with a record of 16-3. Iona Prep won 11-0 in their recent league challenge against Monsignor Scanlan (Bronx, NY)
