Texas High School Baseball - Goliad holds off Columbus
May 2, 2025: Goliad, TX 77963 The Goliad Tigers baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Columbus Cardinals to 5 in the Tigers non-league win on Friday.
The Tigers now own a 21-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hondo for a non-league test on Thursday, May 8. Goliad will clash with a Owls team coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Randolph (Universal City, TX). The Owls record now stands at 21-6.
With the defeat, Columbus drops to 13-14 on the year.
