May 2, 2025: Chula Vista, CA 91913 The La Jolla Country Day Torreys baseball team scored 15 runs and held the host Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders to 3 in the Torreys non-league win on Friday.
The Torreys now own a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they host Classical Academy for a test on Wednesday, May 7. La Jolla Country Day will clash with a Caimans team coming off a 11-1 league win over Bishop's (La Jolla, CA). The Caimans record now stands at 6-13.
With the defeat, Mater Dei Catholic drops to 2-9 on the year. The Crusaders host Sweetwater (National City, CA) to clash with the Red Devils in a test on Wednesday, May 7. The Red Devils go into the test with a record of 1-13. Sweetwater lost 8-3 in their recent league test against Hilltop (Chula Vista, CA)
