Virginia High School Soccer - Fleming knocks off William Byrd
May 2, 2025: Vinton, VA 24179 In Friday's league outing, the visiting Fleming Colonels soccer squad scored a tight 4-1 victory over the William Byrd Terriers.
The Colonels (6-5) will now prepare for their outing against Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA). The Blue Demons go into the non-league outing with a 8-2 record. In their last outing, Christiansburg got by Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA), 1-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Terriers confront the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers (Daleville, VA) in a Blue Ridge challenge, on Tuesday, May 6. William Byrd will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Cavaliers go into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 6-2 league win over Staunton River (Moneta, VA).
