Maine High School Softball - Central can't get by Orono
May 2, 2025: East Corinth, ME 04427 Orono Riots (Orono, ME) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Central Red Devils (East Corinth, ME), 10-9 in a league game.
With the triumph, Orono upgrades its record to 2-2 on the year. The Riots host Houlton (Houlton, ME) to play the Shiretowners in a Class C North game on Saturday, May 3. The Shiretowners enter the game with a record of 0-1. Houlton lost 5-0 in their recent non-league game against Presque Isle (Presque Isle, ME)
The Red Devils now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Piscataquis for a non-league game on Monday, May 5. Central will play a Pirates squad coming off a 13-8 non-league win over Greenville (Greenville, ME). The Pirates record now stands at 1-2.
