In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Ferndale Yellow Jackets softball team scored a tight 4-3 win over the North Star Cougars.

The Yellow Jackets (10-5) will now prepare for their match against Bishop McCort (Johnstown, PA). The Crushers come into the non-league match with a 6-7 record.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Rockwood Rockets (Rockwood, PA) in a Inter County - West match, on Monday, May 5. North Star will attempt to better on its 4-10 season record.
