Benet Academy Redwings (Lisle, IL) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Marian Catholic Spartans (Chicago Heights, IL), 9-8 in a league game.

With the triumph, Benet Academy improves its record to 15-14 on the year. The Redwings travel to Mother McAuley (Chicago, IL) to play the Mighty Macs in a non-league game on Monday, May 4. The Mighty Macs enter the game with a record of 7-12. Mother McAuley won 11-5 in their recent non-league game against Payton College Prep (Chicago, IL)
