Manistique Emeralds (Manistique, MI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Superior Central Cougars (Eben Junction, MI), 9-8 in a non-league test.

With the win, Manistique upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Emeralds travel to Marquette (Marquette, MI) to battle the Redmen in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 24. The Redmen come into the test with a record of 2-5. Marquette lost 16-12 in their recent league test against Negaunee (Negaunee, MI)

With the defeat, Superior Central falls to 1-2 on the season. The Cougars travel to Escanaba (Escanaba, MI) to battle the Eskymos in a non-league test on Monday, May 23. The Eskymos come into the test with a record of 7-3.
