West Virginia High School Softball - Petersburg nudges Buffalo
May 22, 2024: Buffalo, WV 25033 Petersburg Vikings (Petersburg, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Buffalo Bison (Buffalo, WV), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Vikings now own a 13-8 record. They take the field next when they host St. Marys for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 22. Petersburg will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 9-0 non-league win over Wheeling Central Catholic (Wheeling, WV). The Blue Devils record now stands at 28-3.
With the loss, Buffalo falls to 9-10 on the campaign. The Bison travel to Midland Trail (Hico, WV) to face the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 22. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 20-7. Midland Trail won 4-1 in their recent non-league challenge against James Monroe (Lindside, WV)
