Michigan High School Softball - Ithaca bounces Merrill
May 22, 2024: Ithaca, MI 48847 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Ithaca Yellowjackets (Ithaca, MI) and the visiting Merrill Vandals (Merrill, MI), saw Ithaca's softball squad achieve victory over Merrill by a count of 16-2.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 24-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bullock Creek for a non-league match on Wednesday, May 22. Ithaca will face a Lancers squad coming off a 19-0 non-league win over Carrollton (Carrollton, MI). The Lancers record now stands at 11-7.
With the loss, Merrill falls to 9-15 on the campaign. The Vandals host Sacred Heart Academy (Mt. Pleasant, MI) to face the Irish in a Mid-State match on Thursday, May 23. The Irish enter the match with a record of 13-11. Sacred Heart Academy lost 6-5 in their recent non-league match against St. Francis (Traverse City, MI)
