May 23, 2024: Carroll, IA 51401 Kuemper Knights (Carroll, IA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders (Coon Rapids, IA), 14-13 in a non-league test.
With the win, Kuemper upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Knights host Woodbury Central (Moville, IA) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league test on Friday, May 24. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 3-1. Woodbury Central won 8-1 in their recent league test against Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove (Ida Grove, IA)
With the defeat, Coon Rapids-Bayard drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to West Harrison (Mondamin, IA) to play the Hawkeyes in a Rolling Valley battle on Wednesday, May 29. The Hawkeyes enter the battle with a record of 0-0.
