May 24, 2022: Billerica, MA 01821 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the Bedford Buccaneers (Bedford, MA) and the host Shawsheen Valley Tech Rams (Billerica, MA), saw Bedford's softball squad achieve victory over Shawsheen Valley Tech by a count of 21-7.
The Buccaneers now sport a 13-3 record. They take the field next when they host Newton South for a non-league match on Thursday, May 26. Bedford will face a Lions squad coming off a 9-8 non-league loss to Braintree (Braintree, MA). The Lions record now stands at 9-9.
With the loss, Shawsheen Valley Tech falls to 6-4 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Academy of Notre Dame (Tyngsborough, MA) to face the Lancers in a non-league match on Wednesday, May 25. The Lancers enter the match with a record of 11-6. Academy of Notre Dame won 15-3 in their recent non-league match against Greater Lawrence Tech (Andover, MA)
