The Sioux Valley Cossacks softball team scored 10 runs and held the host Chester Flyers to 5 in the Cossacks non-league win on Saturday.

The Cossacks now sport a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Beresford for a Class A battle on Saturday, May 24. Sioux Valley will encounter a Watchdogs team coming off a 15-6 non-league win over Avon (Avon, SD). The Watchdogs record now stands at 12-10.

With the loss, Chester moves to 11-5 on the season. The Flyers travel to Avon (Avon, SD) to encounter the Pirates in a Class B battle on Tuesday, May 27. The Pirates come into the battle with a record of 15-10.
