Massachusetts High School Softball - New Bedford holds off Dartmouth
May 25, 2022: South Dartmouth, MA 02748 Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the New Bedford Whalers (New Bedford, MA) and the host Dartmouth Indians (South Dartmouth, MA), witnessed New Bedford's softball squad tip Dartmouth by a count of 2-0.
The Whalers now sport a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Apponequet Regional for a non-league game on Friday, May 27. New Bedford will clash with a Lakers team coming off a 18-8 league win over Bourne (Bourne, MA). The Lakers record now stands at 10-10.
In their next game, the Indians clash with the Somerset Berkley Regional Raiders (Somerset, MA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, May 26. Dartmouth will attempt to improve on its 8-10 season record.
