Valley Lutheran Chargers (Saginaw, MI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Ithaca Yellowjackets (Ithaca, MI), 5-4 in a league test.

With the win, Valley Lutheran upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season.

With the defeat, Ithaca falls to 15-18 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Sacred Heart Academy (Mt. Pleasant, MI) to battle the Irish in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 30. The Irish come into the test with a record of 9-4. Sacred Heart Academy won 10-3 in their recent non-league test against Chippewa Hills (Remus, MI)
