New Jersey High School Softball - Columbia bounces Union City
May 26, 2023: Maplewood, NJ 07040 Columbia Cougars (Maplewood, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Union City Soaring Eagles (Union City, NJ), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Cougars now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bergen Tech for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 31. Columbia will battle a Knights squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Morristown (Morristown, NJ). The Knights record now stands at 18-3.
With the loss, Union City falls to 10-9 on the campaign.
