In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Midland Trail Patriots baseball team scored a nice 17-1 victory over the Greenbrier West Cavaliers.

The Patriots (12-6) will now prepare for their game against Sherman (Seth, WV). The Tide go into the non-league game with a 20-5 record. In their last game, Sherman ran past Tug Valley (Williamson, WV), 7-2, in a non-league game.
