Maine High School Softball - Machias bounces Deer Isle-Stonington
May 29, 2025: Deer Isle, ME 04627 The Machias Bulldogs softball team scored 12 runs and held the host Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners to 1 in the Bulldogs league win on Thursday.
The Bulldogs now possess a 9-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bangor Christian for a Class D North battle on Friday, May 30. Machias will confront a Patriots team coming off a 11-0 league loss to Penobscot Valley (Howland, ME). The Patriots record now stands at 6-8.
With the loss, Deer Isle-Stonington moves to 3-10 on the season. The Mariners host Lee Academy (Lee, ME) to confront the Pandas in a non-league battle on Friday, May 30. The Pandas come into the battle with a record of 3-7. Lee Academy lost 15-1 in their recent non-league battle against Stearns (Millinocket, ME)
