Rome Free Academy Black Knights (Rome, NY) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Fayetteville-Manlius Hornets (Manlius, NY), 6-5 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Rome Free Academy improves its record to 13-6 on the year. The Black Knights host Baldwinsville (Baldwinsville, NY) to play the Bees in a non-league game on Saturday, May 31. The Bees enter the game with a record of 5-7. Baldwinsville won 2-1 in their recent league game against Cicero-North Syracuse (Cicero, NY)
