May 3, 2022: Fort Defiance, VA 24437 Fort Defiance Indians (Fort Defiance, VA) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Alleghany Mountaineers (Covington, VA), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Indians confront the Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA) in a Shenandoah challenge, on Friday, May 6. Fort Defiance will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Gladiators enter the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 4-0 league loss to Staunton (Staunton, VA).
The Mountaineers now have a 3-9 record. They take the field next when they host Glenvar for a Three Rivers challenge on Thursday, May 5. Alleghany will confront a Highlanders team coming off a 4-1 league win over James River (Buchanan, VA). The Highlanders record now stands at 12-0.
