Oregon High School Softball - Marist holds off Marshfield
May 3, 2022: Coos Bay, OR 97420 Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Marist Spartans (Eugene, OR) and the host Marshfield Pirates (Coos Bay, OR), witnessed Marist's softball squad tip Marshfield by a count of 2-0.
The Spartans now sport a 16-1 record. They play next when they travel to Siuslaw for a 4A Sky-Em match on Wednesday, May 4.
With the loss, Marshfield moves to 7-7 on the season. The Pirates host Elmira (Elmira, OR) to meet the Falcons in a 4A Sky-Em match on Friday, May 6. The Falcons go into the match with a record of 0-1.

Malia Williams pitched her 6th consecutive No-Hitter, striking out 16 over 7 innings pitched in a 2-0 shutout win over Marshfield. Since early April, Williams has now pitched 9 No-Hitters in the past 10 games (5 of them have been perfect games).
Marist managed just 3 hits during the game against Marshfield pitcher Tatum Montiel.
