Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI), 9-5 in a league test.

With the win, Chariho upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Chargers travel to Narragansett (Narragansett, RI) to battle the Mariners in a Division 2 test on Saturday, May 6. The Mariners come into the test with a record of 4-7. Narragansett lost 2-1 in their recent league test against Burrillville (Harrisville, RI)

With the defeat, Prout falls to 4-6 on the season. The Crusaders travel to Tiverton (Tiverton, RI) to battle the Tigers in a Division 2 test on Thursday, May 4. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 5-4. Tiverton won 3-1 in their recent league test against Westerly (Westerly, RI)
