Massachusetts High School Baseball - Durfee gets by Middleborough
May 3, 2024: Middleborough, MA 02346 Durfee Hilltoppers (Fall River, MA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Middleborough Sachems (Middleborough, MA), 8-5 in a non-league test.
With the win, Durfee upgrades its record to 10-3 on the season. The Hilltoppers travel to New Bedford (New Bedford, MA) to battle the Whalers in a Big Three test on Tuesday, May 7. The Whalers come into the test with a record of 2-9. New Bedford won 5-0 in their recent non-league test against Oliver Ames (North Easton, MA)
With the defeat, Middleborough falls to 7-5 on the season. The Sachems travel to Abington (Abington, MA) to clash with the Green Wave in a non-league match on Wednesday, May 8. The Green Wave go into the match with a record of 8-5. Abington lost 9-4 in their recent non-league match against Sandwich (East Sandwich, MA)
