May 3, 2024: Coeburn, VA 24230 Spectators at Friday's league battle between the Eastside Spartans (Coeburn, VA) and the visiting J.I. Burton Black Raiders (Norton, VA), saw Eastside's baseball squad beat J.I. Burton by a margin of 11-1.
Coming up next, the Spartans play the Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA) in a Cumberland battle, on Tuesday, May 7. Eastside will attempt to better on its 13-3 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 12-1 record after their 4-2 league win over Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA).
The Black Raiders now sport a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they host Rye Cove for a Cumberland battle on Friday, May 10.
