The Halifax County Comets crushed the visiting Martinsville Bulldogs baseball team by a count of 22-2 in Friday's league bout.

The Comets now possess a 12-5 record. They take the field next when they host Bassett for a Piedmont bout on Tuesday, May 7. Halifax County will face a Bengals team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA). The Bengals record now stands at 8-11.
