Maryland High School Softball - Smithsburg bounces North Hagerstown
May 3, 2024: Smithsburg, MD 21783 Smithsburg Leopards (Smithsburg, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting North Hagerstown Hubs (Hagerstown, MD), 16-3 in a league challenge.
The Leopards now own a 4-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Carroll for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. Smithsburg will battle a Cavaliers squad coming off a 14-4 non-league loss to Catoctin (Thurmont, MD). The Cavaliers record now stands at 5-12.
With the loss, North Hagerstown falls to 2-17 on the campaign. The Hubs travel to South Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD) to battle the Rebels in a CMC challenge on Thursday, May 9. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 14-5. South Hagerstown lost 6-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Boonsboro (Boonsboro, MD)
