The Franklin Patriots baseball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Western International Cowboys to 1 in the Patriots non-league win on Saturday.

The Patriots now hold a 17-4 record. They take the field next when they host Mattawan for a non-league test on Saturday, May 3. Franklin will play a Wildcats team coming off a 16-8 non-league win over Gull Lake (Richland, MI). The Wildcats record now stands at 14-3.

With the defeat, Western International drops to 14-6 on the year. The Cowboys host Renaissance (Detroit, MI) to play the Phoenix in a Detroit Public - Southwest test on Tuesday, May 6.
