The Sugar Valley Rural Phoenix baseball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Sullivan County Griffins to 2 in the Phoenix league win on Saturday.

The Phoenix now hold a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Muncy for a Mid-Penn D4 test on Monday, May 5. Sugar Valley Rural will play a Indians team coming off a 9-5 non-league loss to Canton (Canton, PA). The Indians record now stands at 6-7.

With the defeat, Sullivan County drops to 3-10 on the year. The Griffins travel to Northwest Area (Shickshinny, PA) to play the Rangers in a Mid-Penn D4 test on Tuesday, May 6. The Rangers go into the test with a record of 11-4. Northwest Area won 4-1 in their recent league test against Benton (Benton, PA)
