In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Canton Warriors baseball team scored a close 8-7 win over the Sugar Valley Rural Phoenix.

The Warriors (6-10) will now prepare for their game against Wellsboro (Wellsboro, PA). The Hornets go into the non-league game with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Wellsboro was edged by South Williamsport (South Williamsport, PA), 5-4, in a non-league contest.

The Phoenix now possess a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shamokin Area for a non-league contest on Monday, May 12.
