The Sylmar Spartans (Sylmar, CA) baseball trounced the visiting Palisades Dolphins (Pacific Palisades, CA), 13-5 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 16-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kennedy for a challenge on Monday, May 5. Sylmar will clash with a Cougars team coming off a 8-2 non-league loss to Marshall (Los Angeles, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 10-11.

With the defeat, Palisades drops to 13-6 on the year. The Dolphins travel to Westchester (Los Angeles, CA) to clash with the Comets in a challenge on Wednesday, May 7. The Comets go into the challenge with a record of 0-13.
