May 31, 2024: Lisbon, IA 52253 The Mt. Vernon Mustangs baseball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Lisbon Lions to 0 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Friday.
The Mustangs (6-3) will now prepare for their match against Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA). The Stormin' Pointers go into the non-league match with a 9-0 record. In their last match, Center Point-Urbana gained a win over Clear Creek-Amana (Tiffin, IA), 8-3, in a league match.
The Lions (2-6) will now prepare for their match against Bellevue (Bellevue, IA). The Comets go into the non-league match with a 8-2 record. In their last match, Bellevue gained a win over Camanche (Camanche, IA), 11-1, in a non-league match.
