Kentucky High School Baseball - Sayre defeats Bryan Station
May 4, 2022: Lexington, KY 40505 Sayre Spartans (Lexington, KY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Bryan Station Defenders (Lexington, KY), 5-0 in a league test.
With the win, Sayre upgrades its record to 19-10 on the season. The Spartans host Collins (Shelbyville, KY) to battle the Titans in a non-league test on Saturday, May 7. The Titans come into the test with a record of 38-25. Collins won 5-1 in their recent non-league test against Bullitt East (Mt. Washington, KY)
With the defeat, Bryan Station falls to 13-15 on the season. The Defenders travel to Scott County (Georgetown, KY) to battle the Cardinals in a District 42 test on Thursday, May 5. The Cardinals come into the test with a record of 17-35. Scott County lost 4-1 in their recent league test against Frederick Douglass (Lexington, KY)
